David Horner was born in Dewsbury. Educated at Batley Grammar School before moving on to the College of Estates Management in London in conjunction with serving a period in Articles with a well known Yorkshire Firm of Chartered Surveyors.
Qualified in 1965 and held various professional positions as Surveyor/Valuer before establishing his own Practice in 1968. The Practice developed and gained a sound reputation covering West Yorkshire and beyond. Mr Horner has acted for an extensive client base over the years, and gained a sound reputation for impartial and trustworthy advice. The practice was sold in the late 1990's.
David has represented the Profession at local and national level as Branch Chairman, Council Representative and other appointments.
He is currently a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Yorkshire Brach General Practice Committee and also a Member of the Yorkshire Branch Committee of the Association of Building Engineers.
He has experience of litigation work as expert witness and has presented papers at professional seminars. He is involved in community work, also a Board member of a well-known Yorkshire Based Housing Association and is closely involved with the Independent Surveyors Association.
He continues to practise as a Chartered Surveyor, Valuer, Building Engineer and Building Surveyor with over 40 years local knowledge and professional experience of all types of property in this area.
